We keep a record of each choice, with the date and the version of this policy, as proof of your consent. Withdrawing is as easy as agreeing, and does not affect anything sent before.

We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Razorpay handles the payment.

When you buy a Kavin plugin

Plugin purchases are handled by Freemius, which sells on our behalf, takes the payment, charges any tax and issues your invoice. Freemius shares your name, email, plan and licence details with us. It does not share your card details.

When you use a Kavin plugin on your own website

• Our free plugins send us nothing. For example, Kavin DPDP Cookie Consent keeps its consent records in your own WordPress database. We cannot see them.
• If a plugin asks you to opt in to sharing usage data, and you agree, Freemius receives your site address, your admin name and email, your WordPress, PHP and plugin versions, and whether the plugin is active. We use this to fix problems and decide what to build. Saying no does not change how the plugin works. You can change your answer at any time from the plugin's menu.
• Your visitors' data is yours. Data your plugins collect from your own visitors stays on your website. For that data, you are the data fiduciary under the DPDP Act, not us.

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel do not load until you allow them, and allowing one does not allow the other. Our own cookie kvn_dpdp only remembers your choice, so the banner does not ask you again.

Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie this website sets.

We do not sell your personal data. Advertising cookies run only if you allow Advertising.

When we build or look after a website for a client, we may see the personal data of that client's customers, for example orders or form entries. We handle it only to do the work the client asked for, on the client's instructions, and do not use it for anything else. The client is responsible for telling their own customers how their data is used.

Our services and plugins are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, write to us and we will delete them.

• Razorpay, to take payments for client work.
• Freemius, to sell our plugins, issue licences and invoices, and receive opt-in usage data.
• Our web host, which stores this website and its data.
• Our email provider, which carries our emails.
• Google, for Google Analytics, only if you allow Analytics.
• Meta, for Meta Pixel, only if you allow Advertising.
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you message us there, or if you agreed to WhatsApp offers.
• Our accountant and tax authorities, for invoices and tax filings.
• Government authorities, when the law requires it.

Each of these may use your data only to provide their service to us or as the law requires. Some of them, including Freemius and Google, process data outside India.

• Enquiries that do not become work: 2 years from our last message, then deleted.
• Email and WhatsApp consent: until you withdraw it, then the record of your choice for as long as we may need to prove it.
• Client records, invoices and payment records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Project files and logins: logins are deleted or handed back when the project ends. Project files are kept for 3 years in case you need them again.
• Plugin licences and purchase records: while your licence is active, then for as long as tax law requires.
• Google Analytics data: up to 14 months.
• Meta Pixel cookie: 3 months.
• Your cookie choice: 12 months, or until you change it or clear your cookies.

• Withdraw consent at any time. For cookies, click Privacy choices at the bottom of any page. For anything else, write to us. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent, and does not affect anything done before you withdrew.
• Get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we shared it with.
• Correct or complete your data if it is wrong or out of date.
• Ask us to erase it. We will, unless the law requires us to keep it, such as invoices.
• Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to act.

To use any of these rights, fill in the privacy request form or write to our grievance contact below. There is no fee. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

We reply within 7 days, and in any case within 90 days.

If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. The law asks you to contact our grievance contact first.

We use HTTPS across this website, limit who can sign in to our systems, and keep regular backups. We never store card details. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

If we change this notice, we will update the version and date at the top. If a change affects something you consented to, we will ask you again.
